Events

We curate events and spaces for conversations about justice, equity and the role of arts in imagining other worlds possible.
We participate in panels, conferences, and festivals.

Kometa Academy @ Kometa Festival

Since 2017 we have curated the learning space in festival Kometa (Riga, Latvia) - Kometa Academy - inviting artists, academics, activists and other people from various disciplines to talk, reflect, and exchange on a variety of topics around a broader overarching theme each year:

Seeing the invisible / 2017
Challenging normativity and the domination of the visual/oculocentrism while searching for new ways of thinking, being and creating.

PartYcipation / 2018
Examining our social structures and thinking what participation means and how it can be practiced

We are relationships / 2019
Rethinking, re-acting, re-feeling, re-enacting to support each other in the collective process of deepening all our relationships and liberating ourselves while being aware of our interdependencies, challenging anthropocentric approach, learning how to listen to the world.

Body / 2020
Having a closer look at the varieties of layers that pertain to the theme of body and bodies focusing on three areas:
- sensing and feeling bodies;
- political and social bodies;
- more than human bodies.
